THE TRIP HEARD ROUND THE WORLD

We had a contest, and THE TRIP HEARD ROUND THE WORLD won. It was Otis' idea, which is cool; leading off with the Daft Punk video was my idea, which is so cool it makes the whole trip worth it in one go.

It's taken us three weeks to get this shared weblog launched; Jen, Otis and I will share thoughts and impressions and reviews from our nine or ten or eleven or twelve month trip around the world. The first post is mine, and I am Chris.

So what's the itinerary? Well, so far, we flew from JFK to Milan, Italy on August 1st, and then immediately took a train to Venice.  We stayed four nights in Venice and then headed back west across Italy to Monterosso Al Mare in Cinque Terre for four nights. Then we stayed with friends in Rome for FIVE nights, then Florence for four and then La Rocca di Montalbino in Chianti Tuscany for four more. Now I'm writing this in Piano di Sorrento. We will spend another week or so in Italy before traveling on to Croatia.

Everything is subject to change, but I think the foggy idea now is that we will go to Greece after Croatia, then the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and maybe a Pacific Island on the way back to the U.S.

This is just the introductory post, We'll catch you up on what went on in Italy so far, and the three of us will update you on our adventures as they happen. I hope you can share in part of our fun, and please ask us may questions and make many suggestions in the comment section!
