What We Have Lost and Not Found, and Also Found/Not Lost

We have done our best with packing and keeping things with us but considering that we are traveling pretty lean, we have lost a remarkable amount of....stuff.

Lost or left behind items around the world:

one ball for our beach paddleboard game -- we could see that happening from miles away

2 spork things from REI

Well, we saved a little plastic while we had them....

one pair water shoes

one large Kleen Kanteen

one Cats of Kotor t-shirt

Everyone's favorite-- the loss is long lamented

one yellow reusable Chico tote bag

How on earth anyone could lose this continues to baffle me

one wooden spoon

one soccer ball purchased at the Roma store

one adult mens hat

Only one of these hats remains in our care

two tween hats

The hat on the left? Also no longer with us

cribbage board (wah)

We miss playing cribbage! Who loses a cribbage board?!

one Giants sweatshirt

one old fashioned reusable razor (left in Bangkok hotel)

one travel safe Leatherman, not actually approved for carrying on according to security at Kuala Lumpur

This was my Mother's Day gift from Chris, after going through KL five or so times they took this on our final pass

And just yesterday I, Jen, dropped and broke the reusable plastic water bottle we'd received at Elephant Nature Park.

What we almost lost permanently but did not:

a Giants football left at Elephant Nature Park and delivered the hour and a half drive to their office in Chiang Mai -luckily for football lovers, these shuttles are going daily

Reunited!!

the same Giants football that Siem Reap airport security wanted to take but settled on deflating instead;

a Kindle thanks to Uber driver who battled Bangkok traffic to return to our hotel (a worthwhile endeavor for him, it turned out);

and.....the same Giants football that a monkey took off our porch at the hotel in Ubud. Chris got it back but not before the monkey had punctured it.

Wish us luck holding on to the rest of our stuff.

  1. Hey, Veronica taught me how to play cribbage and we both love it like you do! Check out the app called CRIBBAGE by Wildcard. It is well executed and fun to play on two IOS devices! Enjoy the rest of your world tour and stay safe!
