Otis's view of our Summer in Santorini

OK, So it may not be summer in Santorini exactly, but it sure felt like it. It was great beach weather and we felt very hot in even the October sun. On day 1, we got in around 4:00 PM, went to the beach for about two hours, and had an early dinner. But the sink was leaking, the toilet wouldn't flush, and the shower didn't drain, so 2 days later we went to a different place. It was a hotel, but maybe the best hotel I ever stayed in. It even had a kitchen! That night (day 3) we went out for dinner in a nearby town called Oia after watching the sunset and walking around the city. If you go there we strongly recommend it. It's called Pizzeria Nokturna, although they had a wide variety of food, not just pizza. I had the garlic pie and a tuna pizza with no tuna. *Our family is vegetarian* Jen got fava, (I tried some and it was the highlight of our dinner) and a salad: the name of which I can't remember, and Chris got the greek salad, which he loved. Over the next few days, we did a lot of touring, including going to the beach, back to Oia, and a third city called Fira. The hotel even had a pool, which we used to play our favorite pool game which is called Leefle. On the last day we went to a mini golf course near the local beach (which I won) , played one last game of leefle, packed up our bags, and drove to the port to wait for our ferry, which chris booked for 3:30. When we got there, we returned our rental car and talked to the ferry system expert. We soon found out that we booked the ferry for 3:30 military time, and it had left eleven hours ago, but luckily there was one at 5:45. That gave us 4 hours to walk around the port, play pokemon, lounge around in a cafe, but when we got tired of that, we just sat around, being bored until our ferry was called. It was sad to say goodbye to such a beautiful place, but we knew that there were many more good times ahead of us.
